Johannesburg - Another one in is the bag for seasoned fashion mogul David Tlale who has won an accolade last night at the Legends Awards at Vodacom World in Midrand.
The awards ceremony honours "South Africa's greatest living legends whose work, creativity and impact continue to shape the nation's story".
He took to Instagram to thank everyone involved in him receiving the prestigious award.
"I dedicate this award to my incredible team at David Tlale, my family, my late mom, Joyce, and to all our customers, supporters and friends. Thank you for believing in the vision and legacy of David Tlale as we continue this journey together," he said.
He continued to reiterate the importance of youth empowerment and development in the clothing and textile industry.
"It is our duty to train and empower young people, whether skilled or unskilled to master the foundational skills of the clothing and textile trade. Together, we can raise a new generation of creatives, artisans, entrepreneurs and leaders who will carry this industry forward."
After cementing his brand as The House of David Tlale in luxury fashion, the multi-faceted designer started his own initiative, the David Tlale Academy, to help combat unemployment, poverty and crime amongst the youth; through his skills development training program aimed at training a 100 individuals who are eager to learn and develop foundational skills in the clothing and textile industry.
